Good evening Ben Franklin Students, Staff, & Families,
This is Mrs. Cable your building principal.
It’s hard to believe we are nearing the final month of the school year. Although there are many fun things planned for the students, we will continue to focus on academics each day. We still have a lot of learning to do!
Mr. Hock’s Art Family Night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Reservation forms are required for this event.
May 1st is Inflatables Day. The students should make sure to wear socks to school on Wednesday and really focus on using their learning minutes wisely this week.
All students will be visiting the school garden on May 1. Our friends from Together We Grow Gardens will be here to assist each class with the Spring Planting Day. Students are highly encouraged to wear tennis shoes and socks when working in the school garden.
Walking Club meets after school on Wednesday, May 1 until 4:30 p.m.
Talent Show practice is scheduled for Thursday, May 2 until 5:00 p.m.
The NCS Art Show is scheduled for May 4 at Newark High School from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Nearly 50 Ben Franklin students will have artwork on display at this event. If your child has a piece of artwork that will be displayed in this event, you will receive a letter on April 29. All families from across the district are invited to attend this free event. There will be live music, crafts, face painting, a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, and refreshments. Every 1st grade student will have artwork on display at this event. Our 1st grade students worked in partnership with the high school art students to create artwork from the design stage to 3-dimenstional sculptures of art.
This week our school is hosting the Time with a Teacher Raffle. Students can purchase tickets during morning arrival each day this week. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
