Fill back-to-school paperwork and Free or Reduced Price Lunch Forms out online
With the 2019-20 school year fast approaching, parents can now fill out back-to-school forms online. Newark City Schools now offers online student registration and back-to-school forms. Please visit the following link to find the Online Forms page: Online Forms and Registration link. If you are filling out your back-to-school paperwork, your username is your child's student ID; your password is your child's birthdate in MMDDYY format. Please log in with that information. If you are registering a student new-to-the-district, you would click on "New Student Registration" and create a new account. You can also fill out your Free and Reduced Price Lunch form by clicking here. We are asking that all parents fill this form out, even if you are unsure about whether you would qualify.  Read More...

Annual $10,000 award honoring NHS senior baseball players announced by Froelich family
Newark High School alumni Pam (Bays) and Dave Froelich have announced a $10,000 annual award for up to three Newark Varsity Baseball seniors. The award — “The Crimson Frog” — is designed to recognize players who exhibit exceptional performance in hustle, attitude, leadership, teamplay and sportsmanship. The Froelichs — Pam, a 1964 NHS grad, and Dave, a 1963 NHS grad — are proud supporters of NHS and Wildcat baseball. To be eligible for The Crimson Frog, awardees must be a senior with plans to attend college, and must attend a one-hour class on situational baseball in both his junior and senior years. The varsity baseball staff will judge the award.  Read More...

Congratulations to the Newark High School and Newark Digital Academy Class of 2019. More than 460 students are a part of the Class of 2019 this year. They are headed to the workforce, local colleges, military service and universities in 11 different states. You can download a digital version of the program by clicking here. Superintendent Doug Ute to receive award for Prevention Excellence from Youth Leadership
Newark City Schools Superintendent Doug Ute was surprised Tuesday by members from the Youth Leadership Council of Licking County. The students revealed that Mr. Ute is this year's recipient of the Ruth Satterfield Award for Prevention Excellence. The Ruth Satterfield Award for Prevention Excellence is given to an individual who actively supports youth development and advances youth prevention across Licking County. Students in the council — from high schools across the county — nominate and vote on recipients for the award. Mr. Ute was chosen due to Newark City Schools' commitment to social and emotional awareness.
