The Pride of Newark Marching Band received a Superior rating at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals in Brunswick recently. A Superior is the highest rating a band can receive. It was Newark's first Superior rating since 2010, and 20th overall since 1991. This year also marked the 36th consecutive year the Newark band qualified for state.
