Newark City Schools will be hosting a weeklong free STEM Camp for NCS students entering grades 3 -12 from June 17-21.
This camp will be centered around space and what it will take to build a colony on Mars. Students will explore the make-up of Mars (virtual reality), getting to Mars (rockets), exploring Mars (robotic rovers and drones), and building a colony structure (civil engineering).
Students will also experience space/science at The Works and take a “Journey to Mars” in the SciDome, a 30 ft, 4K projection planetarium.
The week will be an “out of this world” experience for all!
Registration forms are available at all NCS buildings and are due back to your principal by May 17. You can also download a form by clicking here
