It's time to register for our 2024 summer camps. Please click each link below for more information. All registrations can be filled out online except for Guitar Camp, which must be turned into your child's school. All grades listed as a student's grade entering next fall. 

Camps:

If you have an incoming kindergarten student this fall, you can now register them for Newark City Schools' annual Kindergarten Readiness Academy. The program begins July 8 and lasts for 4 weeks, 4 days a week. Please click here to register and click here for a flyer with more information. If you haven't yet registered your child for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year, please begin our online registration by clicking here, then choose "New Student Gateway."

Student registration for the 2024-25 school year is now available online by visiting this link. More information about kindergarten registration is available by clicking here. In-person assistance with registration will be held the weeks of April 9 and 15, but parents can register their children any time. If you need any assistance, please contact the registration office at 740-670-7008.

Tryouts for Newark middle school and high school cheerleading squads will be held the week of April 29. Clinics will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Middle school tryouts will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, and high school tryouts at 4 p.m. on Friday. Please click the following link for more information: Tryouts 2024-2025. A new school year calendar for the 2024-2025 school year was approved by the Newark Board of Education during its March 11, 2024, meeting. The calendar replaces the previous, monthly late arrival days with four full-day professional development days spread throughout the school year. You can find the full calendar by clicking. The change to professional development days comes following the recent approval of a new contract with the Newark Teachers' Association. The change will be better for students, families and staff members.
